is it possible to install HTML access after having already deployed the connection server without this option ?
Seems that there is no standalone installer and the only way is to uninstall and install again the whole connection server, just asking if someone can confirm.

We have setup a mandatory profile for our View Desktops and I am curious to know how we can confirm the profile is indeed being used?? When I login to a view desktop, I look up C:\Users and see the mandatory.v2 folder however I also see a folder for the user logged into the desktop.
How can I know for sure the mandatory profile is being used?

I have a couple of pools using floating linked clones. Recently, a couple of my Mac users are unable to connect to the pools. When they try, there's a delay of maybe 3-5 seconds then an error:
Desktop disconnected
The connection to the remote computer ended.
When I log into View Administrator and look at the events for the pool, I see:
User MYDOMAIN\myname requested Pool pool_name
User MYDOMAIN\myname requested Pool pool_name, allocated machine vm-3
The agent running on machine VM-3 has accepted an allocated session for user MYDOMAIN\myname
The pending session on machine VM-3 for user MYDOMAIN\myname has expired
I don't understand why it's suddenly stopped working. Any suggestions on fixes, workarounds, and things to investigate?

I'm using UAG 3.2.1 for radius authenticated external connections into our Horizon 7.5.0 environment.
Does anyone know if its possible to be prompted for AD credentials first, followed by RADIUS passcode, rather than RADIUS username and passcode then AD creds?
Long story, but our users are used to being prompted this way for other systems access, so it's a big issue.
It looks like I have to setup a whole Identity Manager environment to facilitate this where you simply specify the order, ie password, Radius.

I have request to change the memory and CPU of all VDI desktop.
It is floating pool and desktops are refresh every time user logoffs.
Would you advise best way to approach this?
e.g. Would below be the right approach?
1. I have to shutdown the master image. Change CPU and Memory. power it on.
2. Take snapshot
Any changes are required in the pool settings ? I guess I have to ask user to logoff?
Is there a KB on it ?
We only use PCOIP in our environment. I would like to disable the RDP service on all the VM's using group policy. Any side affects? Mainly doing this because security scans are complaining about self-signed certificates, hash values etc...

Please kindly help me to resolve my issue with Horizon View. I setup Vmware Horizon View 7.1 and i created a manual pool. But when i tried to connect on my VM in my Vmware infrastructure since my horizon client, i get this error " Unable to start from the pool for user '$myuser ': all responsive machines are in use. When i check events on Horizon view i see that "all the reactive machines are occupied".
Since i try solve it but i can not. I'm new on Horizon view

There was a problem after rebooting the VMV server.
http and https stopped working
all services are running
tomcat is present in the processes
but in netstat there is no open port 80 and 443
found nothing critical in the logs
Moreover, the client’s connection through this server passes, also in netstat you can see that it is connected to other vmv servers

Our View environment consists of 200 linked clones made from a master Win7, 32bit machine. The master has a single 24GB disk that was using the LSI Logic SAS SCSI controller. To improve performance and cut down on CPU load we decided to change over to the Paravirtualized SCSI controller. After making this change on the master, we recomposed the pool. Once the recompose was finished I expected to look at the settings of any of my linked clone machines and see them also using the Paravirualized SCSI controller. Much to my surprise I got mix and match as shown below. When linked clones are made it also creates a small 20MB disk along with the 24GB disk. I got two Paravirtual controllers, on Paravirtual and one LSI, and two LSI controllers. Any idea why?

We have two clusters. One (5.5) is dedicated to our server environment and the other (new 6.0) cluster is a Horizon View VDI deployment. I am wondering if it would cause issues if I put the view connection server in the server cluster and build the workstations and such in the Horizon cluster.
With linked clones we can put a VM into maintenance mode to preserve that VM from being recomposed after logoff and we can vmotion linked clones between esx hosts. It appears we can't to this with instant clones? Is it a planned feature?
We have used these two techniques for esx maintenance and to preserve evidence on linked clones that have indications of compromise.
If these aren't planned features how should one go about accomplishing those two tasks?

I am to setting up RDS apps and each time when I try to save a file, I can see my profile folders (Download,document, pictures) that is on the RDS server, instead of my own Personal profile folders.
How can can RDS points automatically to my roaming profile folders?

Hi All,
I've received a bad bad grade over on SSL Labs for my view security server (5.3.1), most notable is "This server supports insecure Diffie-Hellman (DH) key exchange parameters (LogJam)"
I've searched high and low for a way to change this, and keep getting stuck on instructions describing things that don't exist on my server (i.e. Jre/security.properties) and this being an inherited system, it's hard to tell if the instructions are wrong or my server is more broken than I thought.
Any help or places to look would be greatly appreciated.
Been fighting this for a while now. Most if not all of the users have the Windows Search broken after a Recompose. Posts that i've read all seem to talk about broken search with APPVOL. Currently we don't use APPVOL and I'm back to Linked Clones and still have the issue. It seems to be something to do with a profile but can't seem to nail down what it is. We are just running licked clones with a persistent disk. I deleted my persistent disk to test and removed it from the master and still have the issue. If I log into the console and try with my user I cannot get search to work however, if I login with another username the search works.
To add to the T-shooting that makes this stranger is teh fact that I made two pools from the same master with two separate snapshots. One pool the search feature works the other does not. ARGGH!

Something has changed in 1803 and disabling the windows update service in the master image doesn't stick when logging into the linked clone. I've seen the service turn back to Manual (Triggered) and that kind of makes me think eventually Windows Updates will scan. I've gone ahead and added some registry hacks, but has something changed in this version that I am unaware of? Anyone know how to turn it off completely? I only want to enable it when I patch.
I have XUbuntu 16.04.5 (32-bit version) on my computer, and downloaded the VMWare Horizon View client (version 4.9).
Whenever I attempt to login to my work VDI, there is a 2-step authentication process which seems successful, but then when I open a desktop, it always closes immediately.

We are planning to roll out Win 10 linked clone desktops with Microsoft 365 E5 user subscription licenses. I've found info on how to install Office 365, but am wondering how the Windows 10 licensing will work. I think I'll need to install Windows 10 Enterprise on the gold image. When a user who is provisioned for Microsoft 365 E5 accesses the desktop "magic happens" and the Win 10 features are enabled for M365 E5. At least that's what I've gathered from some articles here and there. I'd be interested in feedback from someone who has actually done this.
