I'm curious if anyone running windows 10 (1703) linked clones in their environment have the windows store enabled on their parent vm? There's an extension we need to install for a service we have and for the edge browser, I can only download it from the windows store, but if I have the store enabled, then my linked clones get stuck customizing. I can only get a successful linked clone pool if I remove the windows store from my parent vm.
Does anyone know a way around this?
We are using view with Radius, and Multi-Factor Authentication. The login sequence is pretty normal, when the user connects, they get a popup window, enter their credentials, then get the challenge for the MFA token, then they're in (or not).
We have some confusion with users due to the wording of the login prompt. The fields requested are "Username" and "Passcode". We find that "Passcode" seems to be particularly confusing to users who keep trying to enter their MFA token at that point instead of their password.
Is there any to change that wording, and have it request "Username" and "Password", or even "Email" and "Password"?
I have seen F5 allows for some customization of the login form, as descrived at VMware Horizon View Client Customization - custom field names and description but we aren't using F5.

What is the expected behavior when installing O365 on a base Win 7 x64 image?
Should each vdi user get prompted to "accept and start [office app name]" the first time they open the app?
Should each vdi user get prompted to sign in?
If yes, should they get this prompt every time they logon (in between recomposing)?

We have two environments QA and prod.
Currently we are going live on the published applications, everything is going smoother expect the icons for few applications.
few applications showed default icon of vmware horizon, which is fixed by deleting the application from pool and republishing it.
for few applications icons come up in QA environment but the same will not work in prod environment (Tried multiple times to delete and republish in application pool)
no go.
Is there a way to track out why it's not showing up in prod environment.
Note: this is not happening with all application only few currently two apps.
All applications are manually added.

Some weeks ago I tested Persona Management in our environment, the test was fine and without any problems.
Now I migrated some profile from persistent data disk to persona, here seems to be the problem, but even a fresh created profile can get this error.
It only occurs to some of the users, mostly the same one, I can't see any differences between all.
The error is the following:
If you log in to your Horizon View Desktop everything seems to be glad, until you try to start explorer.exe, you got not enough permissions.
Same happens on tools like SnippingTool.

I really need to get a fix, because those users are really stressed and a fresh profile need to be configured every time.

I have been testing out Linux linked clones with our Horizon 7.4 environment.
I am having trouble with RHEL and CentOS linked clones. I can get them to spawn ok, but they fail to update their hostnames and thus are all named identically the same as the Gold Master.
I have spawned up a SLED pool and the linked clones there manage to update their hostnames.
I have no idea where to look from here, I have been searching all the VMware doco I can find, as well as Googling with no luck.
I am unsure if everyone else just has this working or if no one is really trying at the moment.
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction or shed some light.

I know you can use the ADM template to disable copy and paste from the end point to the VDI image via PCOIP ADM template which I posted below, but does this also apply to RDP? Is there a different setting\GPO if the customer wants to use RDP instead?

Hello Everyone,
I have been chasing a ghost in my VDI environment for a while now with no success. All of our VDI users (myself included) experience a weird freezing event with our desktops that will happen randomly. The desktop could go days without a freeze, and then do it 3 times in the same day. When the desktop does freeze, I can still move the mouse around but I can not click on anything. Once the desktop unfreezes, it registers all the move clicks and button presses that occurred while it was frozen and performs them all at once. It is very similar to the way a PC acts when its memory is over consumed.
Here are my troubleshooting steps so far:
We are using the latest of everything for software. 5.5 for hosts, vcenter and vsphere. Also running Horizon with view 6.0.1.
Any ideas in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!
My company uses PCoIP workstations for all emplyees.
I tried to bring my own keyboard, a Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate, but it lags a lot, it's really unusable.
I've contacted the keyboard comany and after some exchanges we believe that the problem lies on the fact that this keyboard as an internal usb hub which aparently is not that well accepted by the VDI.
My company's admin said that this could be solved by adding some drivers to the supported pool but that would mean more stuff to maintain and as it's only for me they won't do it.
As I'm a local admin of my own machine, is there any way to make this work for me?

I need redirect Appdata\local for user because I save config programs data.
My version of Horizon is 7.3 and when redirect appdata\local with Persona Management, it does of windows logon is 90-120 seconds. If to same VM, I don't redirect appdata\local, it does logon in 5-10 seconds.
I tested all configurations in Persona Management Policies and non has worked.
The issue only happens with windows 10, with windows server 2012 r2 works fine.
Exist solution? exist some software redirect appdata\local without slow logons?

How you license win10? If nothing changes desktop OS licensing by VDA subscription,
that's why i use Win srv 2012 r2 as guest
We have an older VDI environment where smart card behavior is as expected. We have a new VDI environment where smart card behavior is not as expected. When we open the Horizon client, we have both environments available. Insert a smart card, select the old environment and we're prompted for a PIN. Insert a smart cart, select the new environment in the same (or different) client session and we're prompted for a username and password. It's not getting to the individual pools so it can't be a pool setting.
Both environments have the same settings on each connection server. Connection server settings > Authentication tab > View Authentication > Smart card auth for users (and admins) are both set to Optional.

I am testing several VM configurations and viewers and noticing that the Horizon Client results in subtle but clearly noticeable jerky animation of Win 7 aero desktop effects - most noticeable is the window fade on minimise/maximise transition although in general the user experience feels somewhat sluggish and jerky.
Initially I thought this was due to software rendering of the desktop 3d effects using the svga adapter without a GPU in the host. However I'm noticing this even with a GRID K2 added to the host and running in both vSGA and vGPU configurations.
I also see the same when comparing a locally hosted fusion VM, using fusion as the viewer vs using Horizon View and direct connection plugin on the same VM.
Does everyone else experience the same? Is this normal and to be expected for some reason or is there something I need to adjust in my configuration?
I have tried ensuring the guest VM has a vmxnet3 network adapter and FastSendDatagramThreshold=1500. Can anyone offer other suggestions or an approach for troubleshooting this?
I can turn off aero effects, but then I might as well use RDP - the whole reason I'm using Horizon is to get a 3d accelerated desktop.

1. Can you put multiple licenses in a connection server? like 50 x Horizon Standard (for Lenovo zero client users) and 450 x Horizon Enterprise (for application publishing)?

Virtual Desktop:Windows 7 Pro 64bit
The local computer has a scanner installed in the virtual desktop through the USB redirection. The scanner can only be used for 5 minutes in virtual desktop. It can't be used. The local computer can't use it too. The virtual desktop is logout, and the local computer can use the scanner.
WHY?
What is the solution?
The virtual desktop installed a hotel management system. When the scanner stopped working, the websocket2015 in the windows service also stopped.
I am looking for an msi for the horizon agent version 7.5. I don't see one on the downloads page. Is an msi even created or available?
We running 1 - vCSA 6.0, 2 - HView 7.0.3 with 1 - composer. Linked-Clone environment running roughly 850 Windows 7 VDI. I have 3 clusters, 6 host in the Intel Cluster, 6 host in the AMD cluster and 2 host in the corp cluster. I currently have the vCSA, one of the View servers, the Composer Server, NSX Server and Update Manager Server all running on the corp cluster. The hosts in the corp cluster are old AMD Opteron Gen 3 processors No hyperthreading. I want to move all of the VMware servers to the Intel cluster with the VDI's. All of the host in the Intel Cluster are using roughly 20% of there total CPU usage and roughly 60% of the memory.
I just want to make sure that I am not going to run into a problem moving these servers. Any known issues with migrating from AMD to Intel Processors, I am aware that I cannot live migrate them do to the different architectures. Also will this cause any potential problems with the servers communicating with each other while they exist in 2 clusters. All clusters have the same access to the storage and network.

I upgraded one of my connection servers to Horizon view 7.5 from 7.4. After the upgrade, view admin page is not opening and see the below error on the debug log.
