For tracing purpose the X-Forwarded-For header setting is enabled on the F5 load balancer. When checking the Connection Server logs files only the IPaddressof the load balancer is visible. Are there any additional configuration changes needed for making the IPaddressesof the connected clients visible in the log files?

Horizon Cloud with Host infrastructure connecting to On-Premise Cloud Pod environment
Hello,
Looking for some guidance on if it is possible to connect a Horizon Cloud tenant with Host infrastructure to an on-premise cloud pod environment. We are currently looking at how to expand our VDI Infrastructure next year. We are looking at expanding our two current pods, building a third pod or looking at going to the cloud. If we would go to the cloud we would still like to take advantage of cloud pod architecture, but I'm not sure that is possible.
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff
The Desktop is Not Currently Available
We see this error rather intermittently in our environment. I wouldn't even say we see it often. When it happens, as far as we know, there are no environmental issues going on. Typically we'll see the user having the issue is actually already on a session, listed as connected in the View Admin console. What we'll then do is reset that VM, then have them authenticate again, and it seems to work. But it's kind of annoying for the user to open a ticket for such an issue. Is it something perhaps to do with the end user's connection (weak wireless signal maybe wherever they are)? Or is it something perhaps with our Horizon config we should check for. Would love to know what the root cause is that gets them to that state.
We are using today Horizon 6.2.0. Our Windows users are instructed to get whatever the latest version of the client is available.
Thanks.
Advanced Search Option greyed out.
I am trying to get the inventory path of a replica for a linked clone in order that I can unprotect it and move it to a new host. All documents I find can see you can do this via the advanced search option but when I go to it the option is greyed out as the attached screenshot shows.
Any ideas?
AMD S7150X2 and View 7.3.2
Has anyone had success using the AMD S7150X2 and Horizon View 7.3.2?
We are looking to upgrade our view environment and on the view HCL, it only lists the card as compatible with 7.2
UAG 2.9 takes 300 seconds timeout before shows login-page via IE
Hello,
After updated Horizon 7.03 to 7.1 and Access point from 2.8 to 2.9 I have a problem with outside HTML-ACCESS connection.
When I try to connect using a VIP External IP (F5) it takes exactly 300 seconds timeout before the login page appears (welcome page - 300 seconds - login page)
Direct connection via AP works fine.
But, I have the timeout if only I use IE.Everything forks fine only via Safari.
I would appreciate if someone can help to understand why the timeout exist and where can I decrease it?
Philips speech mike with Dragon Nuance
Hi all,
I am struggling with getting Philips Speech Mike working with Dragon Nuance software on Horizon Apps RDSH.
Did someone succeed in configuring this successfully?
How can I delete leftover instant clone parent, replica and template VM's?
Someone renamed the datacenter and cluster which broke the pool. I was able to change the name of both back and delete the VM's thru view administrator. However this pool is stuck on deleting and has left behind several parent, replica and template VM's.
Obviously the procedure for cleaning this up with composer doesn't work since there is no composer server/database.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Horizon View 6 - a few users must attempt to log in repeadly
Usually by the fourth attempt, they are authenticated. Otherwise they get "unknown user name or bad password" and eventually "Maximum login attempts exceeded".
Interestingly, in the connections server security logs, sometimes there are no audit failed or succeeded entries for these people. Its almost like they are authenticating to some phantom connections server. Any ideas?

After scouring the KB's, this is the closest thing I could come up with:
These do not appear to be relevant:
I was able to find client logs and for these attempts, there was the event log faulure "Unknown user name or bad password". But I swear it was typed correctly. Looks like it took 11 attempts here:

Users report that the username field is pre populated with whitespace that can not be removed on first three attempts
The cmd line we are using is: vmware-view -s https://connectionserver.domain.local --domainName=domain.local --nonInteractive --nomenubar --lockServer --once -K --protocol=PCOIP --allmonitors --desktopSize=all
screenshot of the un removable whitespace:
Skye status intermittently stuck on "Away" with Blast Extreme through UAG
We are seeing an intermittent issue with remote users using Blast Extreme through a UAG where Skype thinks the user is still Away. You can not manually set it to Available and the Skye client must be quit and relaunched to set the status properly.
When a user connects internally with a Dell Wyse P25/5030 zero client using PCoIP it works as expected. Skype properly detects the user is connected and sets the status to Available.
We are running Horizon 7.1, Horizon Agent 7.1 on Windows 7, UAG 3.0, Horizon Client 4.5.1, Lync 2013 Standard Edition and Skype for Business 2016.
Netlogon errors 3210 after recompose VDI
Hello,
We have a Vmware View Environment hosting a floating pool off Windows 7 machines. We have a strange fenomenon after recomposing our machines.
Background info:
* Floating pool with Windows 7 machines.
* After a user logs off, the machine is deleted and a new one (if needed) is build.
* We use Quickprep to customize the machine.
* The computeraccounts are deleted from AD after the machine is deleted.
The problem:
* The first time a new machine boots, its generates an netlogon error 5719 with the computername of the GI.
* The second time is boots, it generates an netlogon error 3210 with the computername it will use from now on.
* The third time it boots to finalize the job and make it ready for use, it doenst generate errors anymore and everything works fine. Also a secure channel is created with a domaincontroller. When we do a refresh on the VM after that the error also doesnt show anymore.
The annoying part is that it pollutes the eventlogs of our DC's and the machine itself. Does anyone have the same issue and hopefully some comments on how to prevent these kind of errors?
The error: 3210 in the system event log
This computer could not authenticate with <domain controller>, a Windows domain controller for domain <domain>, and therefore this computer might deny logon requests. This inability to authenticate might be caused by another computer on the same network using the same name or the password for this computer account is not recognized. If this message appears again, contact your system administrator.
Kind regards,

Hello, We need to move our Master/Gold images from one datastore to another. My plan was to just svmotion the master image to another datastore.
Will View be smart enough to just work, or will i need to do anything after the move such as pointing the pool to the snapshot again?
The Snapshots do come over in the svmotion so im hoping there is nothing to do
We are using Linked Clones.
We have Horizon View version 6.24
vSphere version 5.5u3
Thanks

Win10 Disaster with Horizon 7.0.2
Sorry for teh crappy title but that's how it's been. I am tryin got pt together a Win 190 desktop pool to test Horizzon 7, UEM 9.1 and Appvol 12.3. So far I am not having a good time of it.
Started out with a normal Win10 desktop and image that was Optimized and pushed out as an Instant Clone pool. I could never get the login time below 30 seconds without UEM involved adn with UEM involved it was more like 75 seconds. So what i decided to do is Create a new VM from a new ISO (1607 version) and strip all the unnecessary apps from it hoping that would help my case. It did to some extent. Now the issue i have is that now when i create the Pool (doing the same things i've always done when creating a pool) i have to go thru the initial desktop setup (Hi, Welcome.....This might take a few minutes message) and all that does is add more time. iv'e redone the desktop logged in as i normally do, checked all the apps then created my snapshot and still i get that same message with every user every time. Since they are instant clones it happens every time. What the heck did i do wrong and more importantly how the heck do i fix it? Any help is appreciated. thanks

Multiple Pods using the same vCenter
Hi all, we have a Horizon 7.1 environment consisting of the following:
4 x Unified Access Gateways
6 x Connection Servers
1 x Composer Server
1 x MS SQL Server
We are looking at enabling the Horizon Pod feature as part of a possible expansion. Our question is, can multiple Pods all use the same vCenter?
Thanks in advance

black screen and snapshot problem
hi,I have some problems concerning the end-user's desk for example I can not find the same icons of the basic image for the different users (there are always icons, network drives that are missing, or the taskbar is not the same) and sometimes when I start a session I end up with a black screen for one or two minutes and just after using the taskbar is impossible and I would like have more information on spare machines when creating spare machines.
Horizon client 4.6.0 on Linux Mint: says libusbRedirectionClient.so is missing but it's not
Freshly installed 4.6.0 (32bit) connects to the remote server correctly. When I launch the "desktop pool" a normal black fullscreen appears (as it normally does for a moment), but then after a few seconds the desktop pool reappears and there's no session with the remote VM.
The logs (which I can't begin to interpret) show that the point of failure is marked by the message "VDPUsbRedirectionVmdb_Init: failed to open plugin file /usr/lib/vmware/view/vdpService/libusbRedirectionClient.so: /usr/lib/vmware/view/vdpService/libusbRedirectionClient.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". This is puzzling, because
- USB redirection is not configured on this client. I excluded it at the initial setup.
- That libusbRedirectionClient.so file exists, in exactly that specified position!
Any suggestions on how to debug this?
Another puzzling aspect of this--and I can't even see how this is relevant--is that this machine build is copied directly from another one, with just the hostname and associated addresses changed. The "source" image works perfectly on the original machine. This "cloning" process works flawlessly for 64-bit clients which are built in exactly the same way.
