We are using Horizon Client 4.0 from a MacBook and when we are connected to a remote app, mouse is going crazy.
It clicks and move alone without any interaction with the MacBook cursor.
On our Windows OS we've got no problem.
So I try with the Blast and PCoIP protocol, we get the same behavior, we try to update clients with the 2018 version and it's the same.
Some users are using DrCleaner on MacOS to clean some RAM and problem seems to disappear.
We get this behavior on all MacOS device.
Someone could help me ?

Hello. I am trying to use the PowerShell script to install UAG 3.2. This will be a huge time saver over the OVF if I can get past the last remaining issue. When I configure the ini file with a single IPV4 address, the appliance installs, but grabs a DHCP address instead. I can see the OVF properties is missing the STATICV4 setting that is required when building the appliance using the GUI OVF installation. Is there an ini file setting to set STATICV4 during the installation?

We would like to completely block users from interacting with the OS, other than the applications that have been exposed. In the Horizon View 7.0 sidebar, there is a button in the nav bar to Send Ctrl+Alt+Delete. I'd like this disabled, in conjunction with keystrokes. What are the GPO keys to prevent this? And - is there an easy way to disable the UI button (i.e. properties file), or is the recommended way to dig through the portal code to disable?

We're running VMware View 5.1.2, Up until yesterday the Connection Admin Console webUI worked both on the server and across systems on our network. Now - strangely it only works from my desktop. On the local server and other systems I tested with it returns "This page can't be displayed". The server's firewall is disabled, I disabled the Anti-virus but neither resolves the issue. I tried renaming this folder (VMware\VMware View\Server\broker\webapps\admin) and restarting this service "vmware view web component", which recreated the amin folder but problem continues. Are there any logs that might prove helpful in determing the console issue?

Hope someone can help me out with the following error.
Environment:
I am working on a VMware Horizon 7.3.2 environment with only one Windows 10 (Enterprise x64 1607) Instant Clone Pool (+/- 20 desktops).
Like almost everyone, I use the OS Optimization Tool (OSOT) to optimize the golden/master/base image for VDI. The only thing we change is from the defaults is place a check at "disable the first logon experience".
Problem:
Since november 2017 or something the provisioning process breaks after customizing the cp-template machine.
Cloning the golden/master/base image is successful, it re configures the cp-template, starts-up, and then it times out after 600 seconds (10 minutes).
After half a day (error created in evening), when I enable provisioning in the morning it is going pass the timeout and provisioning is successful.
Findings/Troubleshooting:
My first thoughts were going to DHCP, DNS and AD, but they are working correctly (monitored all the registrations). The itXXXXXX is member of the AD and also gets an IP-address of the right DHCP server and register it in DNS.
So continued troubleshooting and it works only correctly when when I don't use the "OS Optimization Tool". It never times out at the above step in the process.
Error in log:
Within the Horizon Connection Server logs I see one line of the error without any root cause to search for: 2018-01-17T13:35:46.020+01:00 DEBUG (0D5C-1278) <WFE-01> [WaitForInternalTemplateAction] Internal Template: vm-4377 customization state returns: error.
Alert in Horizon:
The error in Horizon View Administrator Console (Desktop Pool) is: After waiting for 600 seconds internal template VM: vm-4377 is still has not finished customization. Giving up!.
Does one of you experience, read or find a solution for this? Within OSOT a lot of customizations take place and it is searching for a needle in a haystack.

I working on a project that consists of the following:
2 x Connection servers for internal
2 x connection servers for external
2 x security servers that are paired to the external connection servers
We are running version 7 and everything is working as expected, except the security servers.
On the external URL for the security servers, we place the external IP and everything works. However, due to version 7 being strict with certificates we get a red alarm in the admin console.
If I change the URL to the FQDN server of itself this resolves the invalid certificate issue but then we get name resolution issues when we try to connect externally from the client.
I was hoping someone could advise what the external URL should be and if it is just the IP address how do we resolve the certificate issue?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am encountering an odd issue with instant clone desktop pools. The default "Logoff after Disconnect" option of 120 minutes was chosen when the desktop pools were created. Now that timer cannot be modified from what I can tell. If I create a new desktop pool and, during creation, set the option to a different ## (say 360) then I end up with the same result: The desktop pool has the timer set to 360 but I cannot modify it.
Does anyone know if this is a known bug? Google is coming up empty. Is there another way of modifying an instant clone desktop pool beyond the web console? I'd have to have to recreate them...

We would like to upgrade our View 5.2 environment to Horizon view 7. Since the direct upgrade is not possible from 5.2 to 7, we would like to upgrade it to 6.1 first and then to 7. Can anyone had done this scenario earlier, if yes please share your thoughts.
Also vcenter server version is 5.5. do we need to upgrade this?
Esxi Server versions are 5.5? Do we need to upgrade this for view 7?

Yesterday I was suddenly disconnected from my Windows 10 v1607 VDI and when reconnecting was just seeing a black screen.
After about 1-2 minutes or so I was able to reconnect & noticed it had rebooted prompting me to check Event Log for gems:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x000000d1 (0xffffe0fe07a00000, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80ee2d55760). A dump was saved in: C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: bf05cd81-5e7d-4190-93af-dab35bee3049.
The MEMORY.DMP suggests vm3dmp.sys was the faulting module (process: VMBlastW.exe).
Thought's on how best troubleshoot this further?

The only comfortable and productive way to operate a Windows OS remotely is still with a mouse. Since some other iPad remote control solutions supports Bluetooth mice for the iPad (e.g. Citrix with X1 mouse and Jump Desptop with the Swiftpoint mouse, all without jailbreaking) it would be very pleasing to have mouse support for Horizon View too. Although the pencil is now supported it is still worlds apart from using a real mouse. We tried it with Jump Desktop and the X1 mouse at the weekend and is was amazing (although I must say that PCoIP shows a much better remote performance than RDP).
So please support iPad compatible BT mice with the next release. It should not be too difficult after supporting the pencil....
We are testing Windows 10 in our VDI environment where we use Horizon View 7.3.2 currently and we have noticed that Google Chrome is very fuzzy on Windows 10 desktops. I've tried overriding the dpi scaling options and allowing the application, system or system (enhanced) to see if any of those fix the issue (which it does on my non-vdi Windows 10 desktops) but it doesn't seem to work within the Horizon View environment. Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this in Horizon View?
I am attempting to deploy Mirage in a test environment. I already deployed the Mirage Management Server, and installed the SQL Server instance on the same vm. I am now attempting to install the Mirage Server on a separate vm in the same domain. I have already configured a ODBC connection on the Mirage Server vm, and I have disabled Windows Firewall on the Mirage Management Server vm.
When running the Mirage Server install, I am prompted to enter the SQL Server name and instance. When I hit Next, I get the following error:
"Failed install user rights validations. Failed to connect to database. Check server name, instance name and server settings."
I have already checked every setting I know to check. Any ideas on what I could be missing here?
Hi - I've seen this a few times on multiple Horizon versions, though at the moment i'm using Horizon 7.4 and WIndows 10
A user logs into Horizon and instead of passing through the credentials to Windows it then asks them to login again and shows the name of the last logged in user . This problem is intermittent but maybe 1/20 times
It only happens in Windows 10 , the pass through of credentials is perfect in Windows 7
Horizon admin doesn't tell me much
I'm playing with the Horizon 7.4 session collab feature and I see in the documentation it's supposed to allow you to send link via IM in addition to e-mail and copy/paste. I do not get the option to send via IM (Cisco Jabber is installed.) Is this only permitted with certain IM clients, and if so, is there a list of supported clients?

We recently started looking at Windows 10 1709 since Horizon 7.4 has support for it (and other versions as well). However, when recomposing any pool, it gets stuck on the "customizing" step for the desktops in the pool. We are using a customization specification (sysprep) because we prefer this method over quickprep. This has worked fine with Windows 10 1607. When I check, the desktops are stuck at the Windows logon screen and will sit there indefinitely. In the events log, it shows entries like this:
Provisioning error occurred for Machine win101709002: Customization operation timed out
Automatic error recovery for Pool win101709: attempting to restart Machine win101709002
Are there still problems with 1709? Anybody been able to get it to work? We are pretty plain here with our setup, nothing really special going on but just can't seem to get this working.

What is the best practice for setting up student labs where the students will not authenticate(ie autologon) with Zero Clients? Is it having an entire lab say 30 or so with each having their own login configured in Kiosk mode or have all thin clients share a generic logonname on the thin client/Teradici Manager. This is for non-persistant environment, not keeping any data.
