I am using VMWare Horizon View Client Version 2.3 (1551379) on my Mac (10.9.3). When I connect to my VM (PCoIP) to my Win8.1 box, all of my USB devices and bluetooth trackpad disconnect. As soon as I quit the Win8.1, all of my connections come back.
I also have a Win7 box I can log into using my View Client and cannot duplicate this issue.
Anyone else having disconnect issues with 8.1?
I have a MAGTEK MICR MINI 22523003 reader that needs to work in View. We have have View 5.2 but using the latest Client.
How do i get this work?
When using this app on my VDI. I'm using VMWare Horizon Client 5.4 to connect to the VDI then using mRemoteNG to RDP to Windows systems. This feature works fine when I run mRemoteNG locally on either Windows 7 or 8.1 PCs. Anybody have any ideas on how to get this working?

we have installed a completly new instance of vmware view horizon 6.
there we cant redirect any usb device.
in 5.3 there was no problem with usb storage devices or something else.
is there any new configuration step (on masterimage, or on viewserver) to get this working on Horizon6?
we setup horizon 6 without GPOs for special configurations and in global settings the USB Redirection is turned ON!

No network communication between the View Agent and Connection Server. Please verify that the virtual desktop can ping the Connection Server via the FQDN. while I can Ping the Viewer by its Domain Name from my VM

Hello? I am Sam from Anu Information and Communications(parksh@anuit.co.kr) Wondering has anyone had a problem using the right mouse button on Android? It seems that if you click on the right mouse button it seems to moving back instead of showing the user the property of the Vmware View(VDI Computer image). It has stated that there should be no known issues regarding the right hand mouse click(it is currently setting the Android device to Backwared). According to the article on . https://www.vmware.com/support/viewclients/doc/horizon-view-client-android-release-notes.html#keyfeatures I could no find any problem of so what? The keyboard shortcut for the right-mouse click "Shift + F10" seems to be working fine. Wondering if there is an option on the "Settings.apk" that I have missed on the Android JellyBean configuration or that there is function on the Vmware View client login that I have missed.? Or do I have to set some parameters on vCenter, vTransfer Server on ESXi, Active Directory with Windows Server 2008 R2 on the HP Proliant 360 in order to have that functionality implemented? It could be a problem "USB redirection" of mouse of the image and the Android device? We have tried using Microsoft Remote Client(Android apk) and it works perfectly(The right mouse click and Korean-English conversion key). This is telling me that there are no problems with using the external mouse with the right-mouse button click, since it had been starting to support since ICS(Ice Cream Sandwich). I forgot to mention, regading the Korean- English conversion it is the alt key on right-bottom of the keyboard. I have installed a English Win7 image made as a templated redistributed with "Automated Pool?" Does this mean I need to have the Korean Win7 installed to make sure that the positioning of the alt key is matched with the VDI image?
Is there a possibility to use real time audio video to control a remote desktop (an actual remote desktop rather than a virtual machine on the server)?
We need to use two way video with a webcam on a remote desktop .

I've been using v1.3 for a number of months without any real issues, Vsphere5 and windows XP,7 desktops. I upgraded yesterday to v1.5 and noticed that the Mac Control-click which produces a right click in windows had stopped working, no right click in guest. I went back to v1.4 and it still did not work. I then went back to v1.3 and it started working again. I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious or whether there is an issue. My Mac is running osx 10.7.3..

Dear All,
Following situation:
- Horizon View Client 3.1 with Yosemite
- connecting to a physical desktop Windows 7 64bit using RDP
Approximately after 30 minutes the RDP sessions crashes and the only way is to force quite the Horizon View Client.
When the same client connects to a virtual desktops it doesn't crash.
Any idea how to resolve it?

I'm deploying Horizon View 6.0 and I have everything working pretty well (web, blast, PCoIP, RDP). If I'm using Internet Explorer or Firefox even the PCoIP client for windows works perfect. But when we try to load the connection from an Android or iOS device using the App, it show a certificate error saying that the certificate is not trusted.
This doesn't happen when I try to connect via browser on both devices.
Does anyone have experience this sometime?

I have a problem with Vmware Horizon View Client version 2.2 and 2.3. I use the display protocol Microsoft RDP and multimonitor option (2 screens) but the display appears only in one half of each monitor. (same symptom but with PCoIP protocol here http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1027899)
When PCoIP protocol is selected, I don't have this problem but I can't access to local disks (mandatory).
Currently, I use Vmware Horizon View Client 5.4 where the screen is extended but it's not a good solution.

After updating from VmWare Horizon View 5.1 to Vmware Horizon View 6.01, does not our Ipad's reach the View-connection-servers.
Does anybody else have the same problem after upgrading to VmWare Horizon 6.01 ? Everything worked fine until we upgraded.
We have the newest Horizon View Client for IOS that we can get in Appstore .

When connecting to the View environment, on Android, the symbols don't seem to work. I can't type & é " and so on. This does work on iOS so I believe the client is the problem here. Any suggestions?
I am using an external bluetooth keyboard by the way. The onscreen keyboard seems to work just fine.
Hi, I have a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet with a Sony bluetooth keyboard. My Android Horizon View is updated, the view servers are 5.1 versions. I connect with my VDI desktop with an Openvpn client and the run Horizon View client. All runs fine till I must us a accent key (I'm Spanish and in this language, accent keys are often used), then the Horizon View Client crashes and ends my connection.
If i use the screen keyboard (not the bluetooth), I can use accents by long pressing on a vowel key.
With the bluetooth keyboard connected, I change the default language to US English and then I can use accent key but not in a correct way as I need in spanish. For example: US Keyboard is "cami´on" and with spanish keyboard must be "camión".
I've changed a lot of configurations but always have the same result, a Horizon View crash.

I am trying to locate where the server name and/or IP address is stored within the clients file system or Registry.
I am working with Windows Embedded 7 with the write filter, this has been "hardened" and works fine with the 5.x client, but I am looking to move to the 3.x client. I don't want to populate the field with a server name, I want the client to be able to do that for themselves and for this information to be kept after a reboot.
So far, I have found a prefs.txt file in c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\vmware\vmware horizon view client which appears to store the information, and I am trying to get this information to stick on a reboot. this appears to be locked in the file system by the OS, so I am working on unlocking this, but I am aware that I might be looking in the wrong location.
Does anyone know this information, or have a link to some reference material?

Natively the iPad screen locks after a period of 30s, 1m or 3m. This not only locks the screen, but also kicks you out of the VMware application. For users who are busy this can, as you can imagine, be quite frustrating seeing as they need to unlock the iPad and log back into their profile via the app. Is there a way, or plans to, or even a wish to, disable the automatic screen locking whilst using the app on an iPad? Some applications do seem to have this ability (video streaming for example) and if possible on the VMware app, it would make a lot of doctors and nurses happy.
I am running Ubuntu 13.04 (64-bit). I am trying to install the VMWare Horizon View client so I can connect to my work VDI. At work, I also have Ubuntu 13.04 but it is 32-bit. I have the View client running just fine there.
When I went to the download page for VMWare Horizon View for Linux 64-bit (Download VMware Horizon View Clients for View), the Download button has this link: apt://vmware-view-client:i386.
Clicking that launches the Ubuntu Software Center which comes up with an error "There isn’t a software package called “vmware-view-client:i386” in your current software sources."
I ran a sudo apt-get updates and sudo apt-get ugprade. Neither of those commands helped.
In the Ubuntu Software Center, I clicked Edit --> Software Sources and selected "Canonical Partners". That didn't help.
Is there a .rpm or .deb package that I can download without having to go through the Ubuntu Software Center which apparently doesn't want to show me the View client download?

I have to connect to a virtual machine Windows 7 Enterprise on a Vsphere Client 5.0.0-755629.
Version of Vmware View Administrator is 5.1.0 build-704644.
The problem is:
The mouse remains with the double pointer.
The right mouse button works.
With the click of the left mouse button you move the pointer .
Double-clicking does not work.
I attach the vmx file of the virtual machine to which we connect.
What do you advise me to do to fix it?
