Benchmarking Remote Connection

Hello,

I have a question concerning the benchmarking of a remote connection (e.g. via VMware Horizon, RealVNC, nomachine, RemoteFX 2.0, ...).

Are there any solutions or workflows to benchmark a remote connection or to compare different scenarios (wlan, office, home, ..., different PCoIP solutions, etc.).

To explain more in details. I have run VMware Horizon with Grid K2 (vDGA). If I run a specifig OpenGL benchmark I get framerates over 100 frames per second.

However because of the remote connection via VMware Horizon a get less good framerates. The stream hangs sometimes, etc... ,maybe because of the bandwith, latency, power of the client hardware, etc..

So is there any possibility to meassure the quality of a remote connection.
